Mombasa Academy

Mombasa Academy, pioneer of private education in Kenya, is a day school for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 18 years. Established in 1978 by Mr. F. J. Bentley, it is situated off Greenwood.

Mombasa Academy comprises three departments: Junior, Preparatory and Secondary, all housed on the same campus and sharing facilities and to a considerable extent, staff expertise. This helps to unite the many nationalities represented in a family atmosphere of disciplined friendliness, while giving scope for the energies and the talents of each age group.

Mombasa Academy has an International Teaching Institution status and is able to offer a wide range of examinations including G.C.S.E. and modular ‘A' Level Courses alongside the traditional G.C.E.‘O' and ‘A' Levels. Year 10 to Year 13 pupils may also have classes from 12 noon to 1 pm or from 3 pm to 4 pm depending on the subject options. It also lays stress on participation in extra curricular activities for the all round development of the pupil. It even organizes yearly events like school play, swimming galas, cultural evenings, musical concerts, art exhibition and open evening at the end of the academic year.

Timings: 8.00 am until 12.00 noon and 1.00 pm until 3 pm.
