Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

The Swaminarayan Sampraday is a Bhakti Sampraday founded by Lord Swaminarayan on 31 December 1801 CE. It belongs to the Vaishnav tradition representing the purest form of the Hindu religion and focusing its faith on salvation through total devotion - bhakti - to the Supreme God developed through dharma, gyan and vairagya (righteousness, knowledge and detachment).

The Bochasanwasi Shree Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), established in 1907 AD by Swami Yagnapurushdas, is a socio- spiritual organization with its roots in the Vedas. Founded on the pillars of practical spirituality, it reaches out far and wide to clear the confusions and questions that crowd the moral, social and material world of today.

The Sanstha strives to better the world by consolidating character in societies, families and individuals. This is done by mottos and slogans, mass motivation and individual attention, through elevating projects for all, irrespective of class, creed, color and country. The Sanstha's universal work has received many national welfare awards and the affiliation of the United Nations with dedication of over One Million followers.
